#ODP13 Day Twenty-One

Please accept my sincerest apologies for these blurry photos. Haha, but seriously, they were taken inside, in the dark, after a long day, so you’ll have to excuse the quality 🙂 Today was a pretty simple day, I didn’t have too much time to get ready this morning so I just threw this together. I’m wearing a red checked dress over The Dress, and a black sweater over that. Both pieces are pretty old. Other than that, I’m just wearing red earrings, silver TOMS, and a black headband. Super simple, but functional and warm. Now I’m off to sleep! I get to sleep in tomorrow and I’m pretty excited about it.

#ODP13 Day Eighteen

 

That terrible moment when you pull The Dress over your head and hear a crack.. That happened this morning. Luckily it was nothing to be worried about; The Dress will survive another twelve days. I can’t believe there’s less than two weeks left! It seems as if the time has flown. But I am ready to wear jeans, or at least to wear a shorter dress with tights. Alas, I’m layering in long these days. I wore The Dress, with another long dress over (thrifted), a purple sweater (Old Navy), a cream headband, purple earrings, and my great-grandmother’s beads. Tomorrow I’m going to pick apples, and it’s supposed to rain so we’ll see how that goes… Happy Weekend, reader!

Today was kinda busy so you get a late post. Pretty simple outfit, just The Dress, a button up top, pink earrings, a pink necklace, and converse. Unfortunately, my dress is starting to pill in the back… At least we’re over half way done!! Happy almost Friday, reader!

#ODP13 Day Fifteen

 

Halfway, baby! I was in a rush to leave this morning, and I won’t be home until late tonight so you only get one, poorly posed picture, sorry! I’m wearing The Dress, a top I got on clearance from The Limited for less than $7(funny story, I thought it was a skirt at first so when I brought it to the dressing room I tried it on as a skirt and it was super cute. Then I thought, hmm, this is kind of cut like a shirt would be cut..maybe it’s a shirt. So I tried it on as a shirt and it was super cute. So now I just wear it as both and no one ever notices it’s the same piece! Well, the secret’s out now ;)), my elephant necklace, green earrings which were a Christmas gift from a friend a few years ago, my trusty sparkly TOMS, and a jacket, which was thrifted for less than $2. Happy Halfway Point!

#ODP13 Day Fourteen

Am I at the beach yet? I felt pretty beachy with this Hawaiian print scarf on today. So I tried something new today: a scarf as a top, thoughts? It’s super easy to do, you just tie the top two corners together longways and slip that over your head, the tie the bottom two corners around your waist. Since this scarf is super huge it was quite billowy in the front so I wore a belt around my middle as well. I also wore pink earrings, an orange bead necklace, a bracelet from Uganda, another bracelet from Cozumel, and pink flats. Happy Columbus Day, reader!

#ODP13 Day Twelve

 

Am I a hipster yet? I’m told you’re only a hipster if you deny being a hipster, so I guess that throws me out… Oh well, to be a fake hipster is probably more fun than being a real hipster anyway. Plus taking pictures with props is way more fun than taking them without 🙂

Today I wore The Dress, a yellow button up (thrifted), a denim vest (thrifted by my dear grandma), my pocket watch necklace (given to my by my grandpa), a blue bead necklace (a gift from a friend), my converse (a Christmas gift several years ago), and yes, those are 3D glasses with the lenses popped out.

 

My neck looks kind of tiny in this picture, but don’t worry, I have a regular sized neck. Happy Saturday, reader!

#ODP13 Day Eleven

 

It warmed up a little today, so I didn’t wear the jacket. AND I changed my shoes! So you’re getting an almost totally different outfit today!

I wore The Dress with a gray top over, a black and gray headband, a silver bracelet, white zebra print earrings, a silver necklace, and my white knee-high converse. Happy Friday, reader!

#ODP13 Day Ten

 

We’re 1/3 of the way through October! I feel like time has flown by. Midterm exams (well, the one I had) have passed (and soon we’ll find out if I did!) The weather is turning ever colder. Soon, there will be snow, hot cocoa, Christmas carols, and oversized sweaters 🙂 But until then, we have fall and the October Dress Project!

I actually got quite a few compliments on this outfit, which is surprising because I don’t usually receive compliments from people at school. My lab professor even commented, which was kind of interesting… I wore The Dress, a black and white chevron top, the same black jacket from yesterday (and days previously, it’s the only black jacket I have that’s light enough to wear in this weather), a white necklace, black studs, and silver sparkly TOMS. I feel like my TOMS are going to get a ton of wear this month, simply because I have neither white nor black flats, so if I’m not wearing any colors, and I want to wear flats (which is almost always because my book bag weighs like a thousand pounds) then the TOMS are basically my only choice. Oh well, everyone needs a little extra sparkle in their life 🙂

Also: a quick grainy pic to show what I’ve worn every day this month, an apron! Protect The Dress!! Most days I just wear it because I’m making dinner, but today I wore it for my first adventure into vegan baking! (scary, I know) More updates on that to come.

#ODP13 Day Nine

 

It was FREEZING this morning! I scraped ice off my car before heading to class this morning. So I went with lots of layers today! I actually had a black and gray scarf this morning, but I forgot to put it on for the picture..

I wore The Dress with a gray and black argyle sweater (which I haven’t worn since last October Dress Project…), faux leather jacket, which was a gift from a friend this past spring, a scarf earlier today, heart earrings, two necklaces, and my sparkly TOMS. Happy Day Nine!

#ODP13 Day Eight

Today was a lazy day. Not that I didn’t get a lot done, but I did all things that I wanted to do. I spent all morning working on my project for my art appreciation class (it’s almost done and looks totally awesome, if you ask me) and watching Once Upon a Time (because who wants to glue tiny pieces of paper together without watching tv at the same time?). Then I realized that it was noon and I had to leave the house in 40 minutes. I hadn’t showered or eaten breakfast or lunch yet. So as I rushed to get ready I thought, I’m only going one place today, I’ll just wear something boring so I don’t waste a good ODP outfit on a boring day. So I just threw this on. It kind of backfired though because I really like this outfit after all. Oh well, maybe I’ll repeat it at the end of the month.

Although I believe it’s a totally rational fear.

So I paired the dress with a chambrey top, black beads, black “pear” earrings, a bracelet one of my piano students gave me, a bracelet a friend brought back from Cambodia for me (I was cat-sitting for her), and my sparkly TOMS.
